New & Improved

You know how you got all excited when you finally finished agonizing over your first website and it went live?

The happiness, the pride you felt?

That was me, two weeks ago today to be exact, when I finally launched virtuallynadine.com. I had poured my blood, sweat and tears into creating the site and I was so proud to have done it all myself! I spread the word throughout my social networks, emailed some people and hoped that the traffic would start rolling in.

Well you see the thing about being a new business owner is that you tend to be a little less objective than you need to be at times. In the case of my old website, what I thought was great, simple and straightforward turned out to be a little too simple and straightforward and my message was getting lost in the process. I wish I could say I was enlightened enough to come to this realization on my own, unfortunately I did not; it was working with an incredibly knowledgeable and talented woman who I consider to be my mentor that pointed this out to me and suggested I make changes. The woman I am referring to is the amazing Rachael Alford, of rachaelalford.com, and she has been kind enough to take me under her wing and help me along my journey to becoming a successful online business owner.

Rachael told me that my old website was much too generic and suggested that I narrow down the market I was trying to reach and in doing so my mission of what I wanted to do with my company became crystal clear. I sat down and wrote out a business plan and that helped to laser focus my ideas and that is how I was able to come up with this new and much improved site. I hope you will take a few moments to look around my site and see all the hard work that went into it and of course check out the services I have to offer!
