Twitter Chats - I Finally Get It!

Last night I attended my second ever Twitter chat. This was a mastermind chat hosted by the wonderful
Dawn Abraham (@Dawn_Abraham) and Stacie Walker (@staciewalker). The chat covered problems with Twitter, tips for increasing engagement, making and using Twitter lists, building relationships, and the most important advice: just be yourself!

The chat was done on TweetChat; this was my first time using it and it was very easy to use and looked almost identical to my regular Twitter page. The people in the chat were very friendly and extremely helpful, and it was nice to see the open exchange of ideas and advice.

I mentioned that this was my second Twitter chat and it went much better than the first because I knew what to expect this time around. The pace of Twitter chats can be extremely fast and it's easy to get lost in the conversation or frustrated with the pace and just give up.  My first chat felt like jumping into water without knowing how to swim and I almost drowned from the pace and gave up.

I decided to try again yesterday only because the chat was being hosted by Dawn Abraham; she, along with a few others, have been very supportive and encouraging to me on Twitter and helped me grow to really enjoy it. I knew with her hosting the chat I would be okay and I was; even though the pace was fast, it wasn't head-spinning and as I said everyone was so nice and helpful, it was a lot of fun.

Dawn hosts a Twitter chat every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month on TweetChat; I will be there and I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance.
